Duilio and his team provided exceptional experiences to see the nature and beauty of Peru. He listened to my interests and put together 3 adventure day trips - rafting, hiking, and biking. The beauty was extraordinary, with safety as a major focus. For example when we went rafting he had a staff member trailing us in a kayak just in case someone went overboard and needed assistance. He listened to our interest and physical abilities and provided a great match of adventure to our physical capabilities. Every event had gourmet food with a tent , lounge chairs, beer, wine and amazing food looking out over rivers, mountains or both. And even when hiking on the Inca Trail our box lunches where gourmet food and plentiful ! Our only regret is we only contracted with Munaycha for 3 days .... and wished we had contracted more. His prices are fair, especially for the value added. Duilio and many of his staff are fluent in English and taught us all about Peruvian culture. In summary, I laughed when I looked at our pictures from Peru , most of them are from the trips with Duilio and the Munaycha team!!
I know I speak for my entire group when I say that Duilio & the rest of Munaycha staff exceeded all of my expectations, and made my trip to Peru truly remarkable! Daily ventures were perfect- from mountain biking to kayaking to hiking and shopping at local artisan markets. Duilio covered all the bases so we didn't have to worry about food, transportation, tickets/reservations... all we had to do was show up and enjoy the culture. I will not travel to Peru again unless my trip includes Duilio!
We have just got back from 3 days kayaking on lake Titicaca with Duillio and have had the most fantastic time. We are both complete kayak novices and so were unsure if we would enjoy it but it turnd out to be one of the best things we have done.
We were worried as we had heard that the lake was very touristy and we like to do more off the beaten track bits however we need not have worried. Duillio took us to a remote part of the smaller section of the lake that is absolutely stunnning, dotted with remote and almost deserted islands and for 3 days we didn't pass a single other tourist!! It really is one of the most peacefull and beautiful parts of the world that we have ever seen.
The kayaking was great!! We went at our own pace and never felt like we had to stick to an itinery - it all worked around us. On the second night we camped and it completed the whole trip for us - amazing. We were on a deserted beach surrounded by this enornous lake with the sun setting and thanks to Edgar the most incredible food we have ever had camping and some of the best food of our trip. Finished off with an impromtu Pisco Sour lesson, heaven! To be honest you can not call it camping..... Glamping more like!!!
Duillio thanks for everything, not forgetting our amazing drive to Puno- best road trip ever! We will definitely try to come back.
